About Us

It all started with a close call—a AAA service technician jumping my 12V battery had me springing out of the drivers seat to stop them from trying to close my hood. That’s when I realized the Fisker Ocean needed some serious aftermarket love, and the Hood Strut Kit was born.

As a former automotive technician I was excited by the prospect of not working on my own vehicle and pre-ordered my Fisker Ocean One in 2022. It wasn't long after taking delivery in October 2024 that I realized this journey wasn't quite what I signed up for. I love the design, but like most owners, knew we were in for a challenging experience. 

With my background as a technician and my passion for problem-solving, I set out to create products that address our most glaring issues, starting with the flimsy hood catch and hinges. 

This first product has been rigorously tested through trial and error—starting with my own Ocean and other members in the community. I’ve made more updates and tweaks than I can count to ensure the final design is easy to install, effective, and most importantly, prevents further headaches for owners in the form of a damaged hood.
